Load Interface File for Import Process

Use the Load Interface File for Import scheduled process when you need to import external setup or transaction data from your CSV files into the interface tables. The process prepares the data for import into application tables.

Run this process from the Scheduled Processes page. You can run it on a recurring basis.

When to Use

Use this scheduled process when you load data from the CSV files into the interface table that corresponds to the template that you use to prepare the data.

Before running this process, you must complete these steps:

  1. Prepare your data file. For details, see File Import Templates.

  2. Create the import file. For details, see Use Excel Integration Templates to Generate Data Files.

  3. Transfer the data file to the content repository. For details, see Transfer Data Files to UCM Using Manual Flow.

Privileges Required

Privileges are granted to duty roles, which are granted to job roles. To see which job roles inherit the required privileges, use the Security Console or see Security Reference for Financials and Security Reference for Common Features.

Parameters

The Import Process parameter and the Data File parameter are required. Set the parameters, as necessary.

Select the target import process.

Data File

Do these steps.
  1. Click the down arrow in the Data File attribute.

  2. Scroll down, then click Upload a New File.

  3. In the Upload File dialog, click Select File.

  4. In your Windows Explorer window, locate and select the .zip file that you created when you used the Price List Import Template, then click Open.

  5. In the Upload file dialog, click OK.

  6. In the Process Details dialog, make sure the Data File attribute displays the name of the .zip before you continue.
