Production to Test Considerations for Extensions with Fusion Applications Identity Domain

Production-to-Test refers to cloning your production environment onto your test environment. The process essentially copies all your data and configurations from the production to the target environment. It also copies all the users from the production to the target environment.

Here are a few things to keep in mind when executing this process for extensions secured by the IAM identity domain:

• When a Fusion Applications environment is live, the Fusion Applications users are automatically synced to the IAM identity domain using an automated process.
• During a product-to-test process, this sync process ensures that all users copied to the test or development environment are synchronized into the corresponding IAM identity domain. The time taken to synchronize all these users depends on the number of users cloned during the production-to-test process.
• Any locally created users in that IAM identity domain aren’t affected by the sync process.
