Allow Updates to Scheduled Process Priority
Every scheduled process has a default priority, from 0 to 9. When many scheduled processes are submitted, those with a lower number, for example 2, would usually run before those with a higher number, for example 7.
You can set the Scheduled process priority change
allowed (ESS_ALLOW_CHANGE_PROCESS_PRIORITY) profile option so that
administrators can change the priority for specific submissions.
- In the Setup and Maintenance work area, use the Manage Applications Core Administrator Profile Values task in the Application Extensions functional area. Set the Scheduled process priority change allowed profile option to Yes at the Site level.
- In the Security Console, create a custom role that has the ESS Administrator Role (EssAdmin), and assign it to administrators who should have access to change priorities. Or, ask your security administrator to do this.
