Configure Redwood Themes

On the Themes page of the Appearance work area, you can start with a Redwood-based theme, make changes to it, such as change the logo, cover image, or both, and apply the theme to your application instance.

  1. Activate a sandbox that has the Appearance tool in it. Don't include spaces or special characters in the sandbox name.

  2. From the Navigator, select Configuration, and then select Appearance.

  3. Select a Redwood-based theme.

  4. Select a logo and cover image of your choice and apply the changes.
If you’ve selected a predefined theme, you need to give it a new name to apply the changes to your application. You must use a unique name without any spaces or special characters.
Note: If you don’t want to apply the theme to your application immediately, use the Save As option from the Actions menu and deselect the Apply this theme checkbox.
  5. After you're done making changes to the application, publish the sandbox to make your changes available to all users. See Publish Sandboxes.

Best Practices and Things to Know About Logo and Cover Image

  • Make sure that the file names for your images don't have any spaces in them.
  • Use a logo of width lesser than 200 px and height lesser than 50 px.
  • Use a cover image of size 2600x290 px.
  • The cover image displays in the background of the Things to Finish section of your home page. Your cover image might look slightly different from the original image you uploaded because it’s resized and may be cropped.
