Reset Multifactor Authentication

As a security administrator with the IT Security Manager role, you can reset all registered MFA factors for a specific user in scenarios such as a lost device or MFA re-enrollment. After the MFA factors are reset, users signing-in would be required to enroll again in the MFA factors available for them.

You can reset MFA from either the User Accounts list view or the User Account Details page.

  1. On the Security Console, select the Users tab.
  2. On the User Accounts page, search for the user whose MFA factors you want to reset. Select one of the following options to reset MFA:
    • In the Action menu for the user, select Reset MFA.
    • Select the user name to navigate to the User Account Details page and then select the Reset MFA button.

    The MFA factors are reset for the selected user.
