How's user personalization enabled in Redwood application pages?

The Oracle Applications Recommendation Service (OARS) provides user-specific recommendations and personalization across Redwood user interface components. The client library delivers these capabilities within the browser and across sessions. At key interaction points, the persistence service synchronizes client-side data with the server to ensure a consistent end-user experience across browsers and devices.

When supported by the applications you use, the system tracks your most frequently and recently used items to personalize recommendations in choice lists and Ask Oracle search. Availability of these recommendations depends on whether the application page has enabled this capability.

Here are two examples of how OARS personalizes the user experience.
  • While using Ask Oracle search, you can save combinations of applied filters and subsequently reuse them.
  • While working with tabulated records, the column visibility and the column order you use are tracked, and these personalizations are automatically applied in subsequent sessions.
