Set a Contextual Announcement Banner on a Redwood Page
Let’s say you want to communicate important information, such as regulatory notices or business practices, to your users on pages built with Visual Builder Studio (Redwood pages). You can set a contextual announcement banner message to display this information. The message can be informational or a warning.
To configure a contextual announcement banner to appear on a specific page:
- From a Redwood page, select your user image or name in the global header, and then select Edit Page in Visual Builder Studio.
- Select a project and workspace.
- In the Navigator pane, select .
- Select the Variables tab, and from the Constants section, select customContextualBanner.
- Update the fields with banner details.
Field Description messageType Enter the message type for the banner. Valid values are info and warning. The default is info. moreDetailLinkText Enter the text for the link to additional details. If left blank, the translated View details text is used when a URL is provided. moreDetailUrl Enter the URL for the link to additional details. primaryText Enter an expression to display the banner conditionally or retrieve text from a resource bundle. For example, use an expression to return text for a specific page. This field is required. secondaryText Enter optional secondary text to display in the banner. - View your changes with the preview tools and publish your changes.
