Setup | Set up offerings with scope
Title and music.
Start on the Home page.
If you have a list of tasks that need to be completed, those tasks may require selecting the context -- known as the scope -- before entering setup data. To begin, open the Offering Setup page.
Click My Enterprise.
Click Offering Setup.
Open the Procurement setup page, select the Legal Structures Functional Area, and then display all the setup tasks.
Click the Set Up drop-down list and select Procurement.
Click the Organization Structures functional area.
You can identify tasks requiring a scope selection by the Selected scope filter icon. The task will be rendered using the selected scope value. In this case, you haven’t performed one of these tasks before and therefore no scope is selected. Click the Filter icon to select the scope.
Highlight the Selected scope filters.
In the Assign Business Unite Business Function row, click the Selected scope filter icon.
For this task, the scope is Business Unit.
In the Business Unit field, select Select and Add.
Click Apply and Go to Task.
Set up the Assign Business Unit Business Function for the Business Unit called Vision Operations.
In the Name field enter Vision Operations.
Click Search.
Select it, then click Save and Close to add it to the scope.
In the Search Results, click Vision Operations.
Click Save and Close.
After you save it, the task is rendered in the context of the selected scope value. You can enter or modify the setup information as needed. Click Save and Close to save the modifications and return to the Set Up page.
Click Save and Close.
The scope for the task is now set to the value you selected. The selected scope value is also replicated to all the tasks using the same scope object. Use these steps to change the scope value at any time.
Highlight the Scope column with the new value.
Thanks for watching.
