Process an AnswerContact Mode Request

To enable accurate analytics, billing, pagination, and navigation for Search API requests, get a knowledge interaction ID using the Content(IM)/Knowledge Interaction/Start interaction endpoint before using this endpoint. Use the generated knowledge interaction ID in the kmauthtoken header in the ask question and other subsequent Search requests.

Note: An unique combination of Knowledge Interaction Id and transactionId is must for accurate analytics. It is advised not to hardcode knowledge interaction ID or transactionId to avoid any issues with analytics.

Note: If you are using Oracle B2C Service Knowledge Advanced, you must pass the interfaceId parameter in the kmauthtoken header.

The example URI for this method is as follows:

  • http://<SEARCH_REST_API_HOST>/srt/api/v1/search/question?question=how+do+i+upgrade+my+device&facet=CMS-PRODUCT.RN_PRODUCT_1,CMS-PRODUCT.RN_PRODUCT_2&multiFacets=OR

    The request returns a set of pre-filtered search results for the specified products RN_PRODUCT_1 or RN_PRODUCT_2.

Note: In case of Intent Response in the search result, you need to call IM REST service's /content API to get the content details instead of Search REST service's /search/answer API. Intent Response is identified by "type": "template", in "resultItems" in the response to /search/question API.
