Article Publishing Status

In the course of managing articles in your knowledge base, you may find it necessary to review the publish status of certain articles. Knowledge Advanced displays the article status in list view and detail view.

An article can have a status of Published or Unpublished.

Article Status

Status Description

Published

The article is published and available to all users who have privileges to view it. Only one version of an article, per locale, can be Live at any one time. The status includes the version of the article that is currently live.

Unpublished

The article has not yet been published, or it has been removed from publication.

When you view the details of an article, you can view the article properties.

The following table lists and describes the properties associated with the article publishing status.

Displayed

The version of the article that you are currently viewing.

Published

The version of the article that is currently published. This may be a different version than the one you are viewing.

Master Locale

The locale in which this article was created.

Document ID

The article's master identifier.

Products and Categories

The products and categories that the article relates to.
