Import Asset Records

If you have an existing database where you store assets, you can import asset records instead of creating them manually.

You can also import information that associates assets with your customers.

You import this information into B2C Service using the Data Import Wizard. The file that contains the data you want to import can include the following information. See How Data Import Works.

• Name—This is the name of the asset product.
• Product ID—This maps to the product_catalog.product_id field.
• Serial number
• Asset status
• Organization ID—This maps to the orgs.org_id field. This lets you associate the asset with an existing organization.
• Contact ID—This maps to the contacts.c_id field. This lets you associate the asset with an existing contact.
• Purchase date
• Install date
• Retire date
• Description
