After clustering your text responses, you might find that
commonly used words appear as topics. If you want to remove words
from the clustering process to prevent them from being used as topics,
you can add the words to the stopword list.
You can access the stopword list file (exclude_responses.txt) from the
File Manager.Note: When adding stopwords to the list, you must specify all
forms of the word that you want to exclude. For example, if you do not want phone or
phones used as topics, you must add them both to the list.
- Click Configuration on the navigation
pane.
- Expand Site Configuration, and then
double-click File Manager.
The File Manager opens on the content pane.
-
Select Wordlist Files from the Switch To drop-down list.
The available wordlist files display.
-
Select the exclude_responses.txt file.
The file opens on the content pane where you can make edits.
- Enter the words you want to add to your stopword list.
Each word must be typed in upper case and separated by a carriage
return.
- Click Save.
You may need to scroll to the bottom of the content pane to
access the Save button.
