If your profile gives you permission to delete incidents,
the Delete button is enabled on the ribbon. When you delete an incident,
you permanently remove it from the knowledge base.
- Do one of the following:
- To delete an incident when the incident is open, press Delete. A message asks you to confirm deletion of the
incident.
- To delete an incident from an incidents report, right-click
the incident and select .
- Click Yes.
Note: Staff members with the Bulk Delete permission enabled can delete up to 1000 incident records
at a time. See

Transactions associated
with those incidents are deleted asynchronously. Purging transactions is controlled by
data lifecycle management policies. See Data Lifecycle Management.
