Insert a Hyperlink

You can insert hyperlinks in your HTML content and then define the hyperlink properties. You can also choose whether to link to an external site or an anchor in this or another document.

  1. Click Hyperlink in the HTML section of the Toolbox.
    The Hyperlink window opens.
  2. Enter field information.

    Field Description
    External Link Select this option to insert a link to a website outside of B2C Service.
    Link Enter the full URL of the hyperlink in this field.

    Click this icon to open the hyperlink in a web browser.
    Link Text Enter the text you want to appear as the link in this field.
    Target Select a target from this drop-down list:
    • New Window—The URL opens in a new browser.
    • Same Window—The URL opens in the same frame.
    • Parent Window—The URL opens in the same frameset.
    • Browser Window—The URL opens in the same window.
    Internal Link Select this option to insert a link to an internal anchor.

    This option is available only if an anchor has been added to the document. See Insert an Anchor.

    Anchor Click this drop-down list to select an anchor to link to.
    Link Text Enter the text you want to appear as the link in this field.
    Email Select this option to insert a link to an email address.
    Address Enter the email address in this field. For example, enter lucybauer@example.com to create a link to Lucy Bauer’s email address.
    Note: You do not need to prepend the email address with the mailto: tag. The system adds the mailto: tag when you enter the email address in the field.
    Link Text Enter the text you want to appear in this field.
  3. Click OK.
    Tip: You can also apply style and class attributes by right-clicking an element after you add it to the canvas. See Edit Style and Class.
