Insert a Merge Field to a URL Parameter
You can add merge fields to URL parameters you want to attach to links in your messages. URL parameters can be defined on a mailing message, a survey invitation, or a tracked link. In these cases, the value of the merge field is appended to the URL as a parameter.
For example, if you wanted to pass the login field value from the contact record, specifying http://www.global.example/regform.php?user=$contacts.login would return a URL such as http://www.global.example/regform.php?user=jsmith.
- Enter any parameters you want to append to the links in your message (for example, p1=v1&p2=v2) in the URL Parameters field located below the HTML editor.
- Click the Merge Field icon to the
right of the URL Parameters field. The Merge Field window opens.
