Preview an Article on Customer Portal

While creating or editing an article, you can preview how an article will appear on your Customer Portal. This allows you to see the article with the defined styles and formatting used by your Customer Portal.

Note: Your Role and User Group privileges determine what you can view of the article in the Preview window. However, your privileges set in the Customer Portal determine the visibility of any content outside of the article being previewed. This includes access through any action performed in the Preview window to other Customer Portal content. For example, if you click a link in the previewed article that goes to a published article on the Customer Portal, the article renders as a Customer Portal page and you will see the linked article only if your Customer Portal privileges allow it.

To preview an article on Customer Portal:

  1. From within the article you want to preview, select User Group Preview.

  2. Select the Customer Portal interface you want to preview the article on.

    Make certain you select an interface with a locale that corresponds to the language of the article. For example, if the article is in Spanish, select an interface whose locale includes Spanish.

  3. Select Preview in Customer Portal.

    The preview opens in a separate window, using the formatting and styles associated with your Customer Portal.
