Get Started with Quotes and Orders

Salespeople can create quotes and orders from opportunities as part of deals or directly from accounts using the automated opportunity-to-quote-to-order process. From the Quotes and Orders landing page, salespeople can get summary information about the opportunities, accounts, and amounts related to quotes.

Salespeople can get quick access to the quotes they need using the global search. For example, they can search on number, order total, status, and so on. Or they can create their own personal lists.

From the landing page, salespeople can drill into quote details. They can modify quotes in real-time in the quoting application, Oracle CPQ. Let's take an example using a quote for servers. A salesperson can update the quantity of servers, and the application immediately updates the relevant sales figures. In the quoting application, the salesperson simply updates the associated opportunity to sync the changes back to the sales application, and then they return to the sales application for further work.

To see quotes in opportunities, from the Opportunities landing page, salespeople drill into an opportunity and then click the Quotes and Orders tab. From there, they can create new quotes and new versions, edit quotes, or duplicate quotes.
