Delete an audience

If you delete an audience, it cannot be reinstated.

Any association that an audience has with targeted content is also removed when you delete the audience. You cannot reuse the audience name or ID. If you want to reuse an audience at another time, you should consider disabling the audience instead of deleting it. See Disable an audience.
  1. On the Marketing page, click Audiences.
  2. Click the audience that you want to delete.
  3. Click Delete.
  4. Confirm the deletion.
When an audience is deleted, it no longer appears in the audience definition interface, and no shopper will be considered a member of the audience. However, your site will continue to function. You can delete an audience first and remove all uses of it later.

The audience is not deleted from your production environment until you publish your changes.
