About the X-CC-MeteringMode header

The X-CC-MeteringMode header is added to API requests made by Open Storefront Framework (OSF) and Storefront Classic, so that calls covered under a billable PageView or billable Order are not counted as billable External API calls.

This section applies to Open Storefront Framework (OSF) and Storefront Classic.

When you implement a storefront in Storefront Classic or OSF, you must ensure that the X-CC-MeteringMode header is not altered or removed, as that will result in billing issues. If you remove the header from API calls, you will be charged for the calls that are missing the header. In addition, you must not add this header to requests that are not made through Storefront Classic or OSF, such as for headless storefronts or integrations.
