Configure Notifications

Oracle Announcements is a centralized communication feature within the Oracle Cloud Console that provides timely updates and important notifications related to your cloud services. This service ensures you stay informed about planned maintenance, service changes, upcoming features, and critical incidents that may impact your environment. Announcements appear directly in your Oracle Cloud Console, helping you proactively manage your resources and maintain operational continuity.

You can subscribe to announcements to receive them by email, SMS, or any other subscription protocol supported through integration with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Notifications.

Before enabling Announcement Service, ensure that you have:

  • OCI Administrator Privileges or the required IAM policies to manage announcements.
  • Access to the OCI Console.

This section outlines the step-by-step process to enable and configure the Announcements Service via the Oracle Cloud Console.

  1. Log in to your Oracle Cloud Console using your cloud account credentials.
  2. Click the hamburger menu located in the top-left corner of the console.
