Initiating a Smart View Connection

You may need to sign in to initiate an Oracle Smart View for Office connection.

You can connect to only one service per worksheet.

To initiate a connection:

  1. Start Microsoft Excel.
  2. Click Smart View, and then Panel.

    Choose from:

    1. Select Shared Connections, and then select a shared connection that you previously configured. See Configuring a Shared Connection.

    2. Select Private Connections, and then, from the drop-down list, select a private connection that you previously configured. See Configuring a Private Connection.

  3. Click Go to the selected Server or URL button (Go to the selected Server or URL).

    The Login screen is displayed.

  4. In Login, enter the user name and password for accessing the service, and then click Sign In.
