Modifying a Row and Column Template

You can modify a row and column template using one of the following methods:

Create a new row and column template and save it using the same name as a row and column template located in the repository. For more information, see Creating Row and Column Templates.
Unlink a row and column template from a grid, then modify and save it to the repository using the same name and folder of the row and column template in the repository.
Note:
Either methods replace the original row and column template in the repository.

To modify a row and column template by unlinking a row and column template:

Open a report and create a grid.
Select and unlink a row and column template from the repository, inserting the rows and columns into your grid. For more information, see Unlinking a Row and Column Template.
Note:
Unlinking the template from the repository dissolves the template and inserts the rows and columns that comprised the template into your grid.
Modify the rows and columns as needed.
Save the row and column template to the repository using the same name and folder as the row and column template you want to replace.
Click OK to confirm the replacement of the original row and column template.
