Editing Application Details

After you create a query-based or table-based data source application, you can edit the details such as dimensions and options, and set defaults.

To edit application details:

  1. On the Applications page, click the application name with Type as Oracle Autonomous Database – Direct (Query) or Oracle Autonomous Database – Direct (Table). You can also click the () Actions icon and then click Application Details.

    The Application Details window displays all the fields from the file as dimensions.

  2. On the Dimensions tab:
    1. Select the Dimension Classification to reclassify the dimensions.
    2. Click Image shows the Add icon (Add icon) to add a dimension if it isn’t defined in the application. A row is added at the end of the table. Specify a dimension name and select the Dimension Classification.
    3. Select the dimension and click Image shows the Delete icon. (Delete icon) to delete a dimension.
  3. On the Options tab:
    • Data Extract Query: Specify SQL query name to run against the file.

      Note:

      This property is displayed only for query-based applications.
    • Delimiter: Select the delimiter type used in the file. Available delimiters are:
      • Comma (,)
      • Exclamation (!)
      • Semicolon (;)
      • Colon (:)
      • Vertical bar (|)
      • NA
    • Fetch Size: Specify the number of rows fetched (that the driver processes) with each database round trip for a query.
    • Connection name: Select the Oracle Autonomous Database source connection.
  4. Click Save.

    The application is ready for use with Data Integration.
