Scheduling a Job to Run Later
To schedule a job to run later:
- From the Jobs console, click the Integration tab.
The Data Integration Scheduler page displays a list of integration jobs types such as Integration, System Maintenance, and Pipeline.
- In the Actions column, click
for the job that you want to schedule and click Schedule.
The Schedule Job page is displayed.
- Select Schedule and specify the following information.
Field Description Name Enter a name for this instance of the scheduled job. This doesn't have to be the job name that was originally assigned when the job was created. For example, you can enter a name that reflects your scheduling requirement. Suppose you are scheduling an instance of a job that was originally named Refresh Database when it was created. You can name this instance of the scheduled job MyWeeklyCubeRefresh.
After you schedule this job, the name you specify is listed in the Jobs console with a system-generated name; such as MyWeeklyCubeRefresh : Refresh Database, where MyWeeklyCubeRefresh is the name that you entered for the scheduled job and Refresh Database is the name that you originally defined during the job creation.
Time Zone Select the time zone in which to run the job. Schedule Start Specify the start date and time when the job must run. Schedule End If you’re scheduling a recurring job, specify an end date and time. Recurrence Pattern Specify the frequency to run the job:
- Once: The job runs once at the specified start date and time.
- Daily: The job runs at the specified start date and time and continues to run each day until the end date and time.
- Minutes: Set the Frequency in Minutes for 15 or 30 minutes. The job will start running in 15 or 30 minutes and continue to run at the selected frequency until the end date and time. For example, if you set the job to run every 15 minutes and the start time is 3:15, the job will start to run at 3:30, then 3:45, and so on. Jobs can’t be scheduled to run in increments smaller than 15 minutes.
- Hourly: See Scheduling Hourly Jobs.
- Weekly: Select the day(s) of the week on which the job must be run. The job will run at the start date and time and continue to run each week until the end date and time.
- Monthly: Select a time interval to run the job each month. The job will run at the start date and time and continue to run each month thereafter until the end date and time.
- Yearly: Select a time interval to run the job each year. The job will run at the start date and time and continue to run each year thereafter until the end date and time.
Specify additional fields that are displayed based on the selected job.
- Click Submit.
The job is submitted and you can access the job log from the Process Details page.
