Limitations for Using Ask Oracle in Reports

Ask Oracle currently has the following limitations:

• You can use Ask Oracle only when Generative AI settings are enabled.
• Report chat is supported only in HTML Preview and is not available in PDF Preview.
• You can analyze report grids only. Ask Oracle does not support other report objects.
• Responses are based on the data available in the selected report grid and current report context. Ask Oracle does not retrieve data outside the active report context.
• You can use report chat with report previews and snapshot reports. You cannot use report chat with books, bursting, or report packages. Also, hidden grids can appear in the grid context selector.
• Ask Oracle stores chat history only for the current session. It does not retain chat history after you log out or your session ends.
• While Ask Oracle processes a request, you cannot submit another question or change the selected context.
