Welcome Oracle Enterprise Performance Management Cloud Account Owner!

On purchasing an EPM Cloud subscription, Oracle sends you, the person designated as the initial contact (whose email ID was provided while ordering the subscription), an email that identifies the steps to activate and provision it. Use this checklist to take you through the steps involved in activating and provisioning your EPM Cloud subscription.

Read about Activating an EPM Cloud Subscription (First-time Customers on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure)

Being that you are a first time subscriber of Oracle Cloud, start by creating an Oracle Cloud Account, which is required to activate your order.

While creating this account, you perform these activities in Oracle Cloud Activate My Services page:

  • Specify a unique Cloud Account Name, which will be used as the name for your identity domain. This name forms a part of the URL to access your EPM Cloud environments.
  • Designate a user as a Cloud Account Administrator and Service Administrator for your EPM Cloud service. This user should be someone who is capable of creating EPM Cloud instances and provisioning users for them.

Oracle creates this user in the Identity Cloud and assigns Cloud Account Administrator role to the user. Oracle also sends an email to the user with the information needed to access My Services to complete the next stage of the process. This email, sent by oraclecloudadmin_ww@oracle.com, is titled Action Required: Please Activate Your Services.

This user is also assigned to the Service Administrator role in the environments after you create your EPM Cloud instances.

Working with a Reorder (Onboard Order)

If an Account Owner creates a new order for an additional EPM Cloud subscription, Oracle creates an Onboard Order, which allows the activation of the new instances within an existing Oracle Cloud account to share infrastructure components (Cloud Account Name, users and security) or the creation of the new instances under a new Oracle Cloud account for which you must set up users and security.

The Onboard Order email sent by oraclecloudadmin_ww@oracle.com, is titled Action Required: Please Activate Your Services.

You can activate an Onboard Order in its own Oracle Account or in an existing Oracle Account.

Activating an Onboard Order in a New Oracle Account

The process of activating an Onboard Order in a new Oracle Account is identical to that for activating a new order.

Working with a Classic EPM Cloud Order

For Classic orders, Oracle activates your subscription and creates environments. Oracle emails the URLs of the environments to the Account Owner, who can use the following checklist to go through the steps involved in activating and provisioning the environments.
