Database Connection Manager
Use the Database Connection Manager to manage reports, books, saved reports objects (row/column templates, grids), batches, and scheduled batches.
The Database Connection Manager provides the following information about each database connection:
-
Name—Name assigned to the database connection by the user who created it
For example,
Vision:Plan1, orVision:Plan2, orVis1ASO. -
Value—Application and database name
For example, if your application is
Visionand your database name isPlan1, then the value would beVision:Plan1.
Note:
Oracle Fusion General Ledger only uses Oracle Essbase as a database.
Users can select an existing database connection when prompted in Reporting Studio; for example, while adding a grid to a report. A database connection consists of a database name, ID, password, and several values that are different for each data source.
Note:
Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Performance Management only supports a native database connection. Connecting directly to the underlying Essbase cubes in Cloud EPM is not supported
