Saving Reports

To save a report to the repository:

  1. With the report displayed in the layout area, select File, and then Save.
  2. In the Save Report dialog box, select a folder or create a new folder in which to save the report.
  3. In Name, enter the report name.

    You can use upper and lowercase letters, spaces and numbers. You cannot use the following characters: %,?,+,<,>,|,@,#,$,^,&,*.

  4. In Description, enter a description of the report.
  5. In Type, select either Reports or Snapshot Reports.

    When you save a report as a snapshot report, the report is converted to a snapshot containing static data for that period of time. Any time a snapshot report is viewed, data-level security does not apply. Data-level security is applied when the snapshot report is created and is based upon the data level security that is set up for the user who saved the snapshot report.

  6. Click Save.
