Opening Dashboards as Workbook

Dashboards give you an overview to key information and let you change and save data.

Data source types: Planning, Planning Modules, Enterprise Profitability and Cost Management, Financial Consolidation and Close, FreeForm, Tax Reporting

You can open a Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Performance Management dashboard in Oracle Smart View for Office in separate sheets within the same workbook.

Using the Open as Workbook option, the charts present in the dashboard are converted and presented as grids, instead of a graphical representation.

To open a dashboard as a workbook:

  1. Connect to a Cloud EPM data source that contains dashboards.
  2. In the Smart View Panel, expand the tree list and double-click a dashboard (indicated by dashboard icon).

    The dashboard opens in a new Excel workbook with each dashboard object displayed in a separate worksheet. You can use the Smart View operations to analyze the dashboard data further.

    Note:

    Note the following considerations when using dashboards in Smart View:

    • Smart View supports grid and chart type dashboard objects. Chart objects are displayed in grid format. All other dashboard types will be ignored.

      For example, a dashboard consists of these objects: one grid, one chart, one note, and one image. Open this dashboard in Smart View and notice that the workbook has only two sheets, one for the grid, and one for the chart that is displayed as a grid. The note and image components are ignored.

    • Smart View supports a master form for the dashboard.
