Filtering Members by Levels, Generations, and Relationships

In the Member Selection dialog box, you can filter members by levels generations, and relationships.

Note:

The filter options may vary depending on data source provider.

Narrative Reporting does not support filters.

Click Filter button and select one of these filters

Relationships:

Select a member and choose any of the following filters in relation to the selected member:

  • Descendants: Include all descendents of the selected member
  • Descendants Inclusive: Include the selected member and all descendents of the selected member
  • Children: Include only the children of the selected member
  • Children Inclusive: Include the selected member and only the children of the selected member
  • Siblings: Include all siblings of the selected member
  • Siblings Inclusive: Include the selected member and all siblings of the selected member
  • LSiblings: Include only the members that appear before the selected member with the same parent
  • LSiblings Inclusive: Include the selected member and its left siblings
  • RSiblings: Include only the members that appear after the selected member with the same parent
  • RSiblings Inclusive: Include the selected member and its right siblings
  • Parent: Include only the parent of the selected member
  • Parent Inclusive: Include the selected member and only the parent of the selected member
  • Ancestors: Include all the ancestors of the selected member
  • Ancestors Inclusive: Include the selected member and all ancestors of the selected member
  • Level 0 Descendant: Display all descendants of the selected member that have no children

Levels:

Select Level to display the Level dialog box, where you can select a level in the hierarchy of members.

Generation:

Select Generation to display the Generation dialog box, where you can select a generation in the hierarchy of members.

User Defined Attribute (UDA):

Select UDA to display the UDA dialog box, where you select a user-defined attribute. This is available only if defined by the administrator.
