Shared Members

Shared members are copies of base members that appear in an alternate hierarchy. Alternate hierarchies are useful for reporting as well as for controlling allocation rule logic. When using shared members in rules, or using the parents of shared members in rules, you can only use level 0 shares. This means that the base member of the shared member is level 0. Using an upper level share can cause calculation failures.
