System Level Security
The first level of security is created at the Oracle Cloud, My Services Users level when the Identity Domain Administrator for your company creates users and assigns roles as outlined in: Learning About Security.
New Narrative Reporting Subscriptions to Support Standard Predefined Roles
New subscriptions of Narrative Reporting will support standard EPM Cloud predefined roles: Service Administrator, Power User, User, and Viewer.
Service Administrator
Performs all functional activities, including granting predefined roles to Narrative Reporting users.
Power User
Creates report packages, management reporting definitions, and Disclosure Management documents.
Creates folders, including root-level folders.
Creates and maintains all artifacts, such as models, dimensions, and data grants.
User
Views Narrative Reporting artifacts to which the user has access.
Viewer
Views reports and other artifacts to which the user has access. This is the minimum role required to sign in to and use an environment.
Legacy Narrative Reporting (Enterprise Performance Reporting Cloud) Predefined Roles
Oracle Narrative Reporting Legacy (Enterprise Performance Reporting Cloud) Environments includes five predefined roles:
- Service Administrators

Create and maintain all aspects of the system, except for user management
- Reports Administrators

Create report packages, management reporting definitions and Disclosure Management documents
- Application Administrators

Create and maintain all application artifacts, such as applications, models, dimensions, and data grants
- Library Administrators

Create folders, including root-level folders
- Users

The minimum role required to log in to and use the service, and to view artifacts to which the user has access
