About Models 2.0

Models 2.0 has the same functionality as Models 1.0, but it provides a more modern and updated user interface with more streamlined actions.

Note:

Models 2.0 is the default view. If desired, you can temporarily revert to the original Models 1.0 screens by entering an EPCM_MODELS_UI substitution variable to specify 1.0.

Starting in the July 2026 release (26.07), the original Models 1.0 screens will no longer be available.

To temporarily revert to the original Models 1.0 screens:

  1. From the Home page, select Tools, and then Variables.

  2. On the Variables tab, click Substitution Variables, and then click the plus sign to define a new variable.

  3. Leave the Cube field set to All Cubes, and enter the EPCM_MODELS_UI substitution variable for the Models 1.0 screens as follows:

    Substitution Variable for Models 1.0

Note:

These substitution variables are applicable to all users (they are not user-level preferences).
