Analysis Commands

Table 15-16 Analysis Commands

Command What it Does Criteria Sample Prompts
Run Trace Runs a trace analysis for a selected point of view, cube, and data form or saved data query to show how calculation data flows through a model.
  • Data Form (required): Data form to trace when not using a saved data query. The data form is matched independently of the cube.
  • Point of View (required): Point of view to trace. If not specified, the current or default point of view is used.
  • Saved Data Query (optional): Saved data query term configured in AI Configure. It supplies the data form and any configured member selections.
  • Cube (optional): Cube to use for the trace. Defaults to PCM_CLC.
  • Selection Overrides (optional): Dimension member selections to use instead of the data form selections. Members may be provided with a dimension, as dimension.member, or without a dimension. Run Trace resolves the dimension for member‑only selections. A data‑form POV dimension accepts one member.

Run Trace Product Cost

Run Trace data form Trace Product Costs for pov FY24, Jan, Actual, and Working cube PCM_CLC member Product: P100 and P200

Run Trace form 'Trace - Product Costs' with selection override 'member1'
