Sorting Members

You can sort members in ascending or descending order, by children or descendants. Sorting members affects the outline. For example, you can alphabetize a list of child members by sorting in descending order to help users quickly locate members in hierarchies in the Simplified dimension editor.

To sort members in the grid:

1. Select the members whose children or descendants you want to sort.

2. In the Sort drop-down, select Children or Descendants.

3. Click to sort in ascending order, or click to sort in descending order.

Note:

• If you do not see the Sort options at the top of the page, click

• Sorting by children affects only members in the level immediately below the selected member. Sorting by descendants affects all descendants of the selected member.
