Defining an Oracle Autonomous Database Source Connection Without Using Object Storage

To configure an Oracle Autonomous Database Connection without object storage:

  1. On the Data Integration home page, from the Actions menu, click Setup, and then click Applications.

  2. On the Applications page, click Image shows the Connect Configuration icon. (Configure Connections icon).

  3. On the Connections page, click Image shows the Add icon. (Add drop-down icon), and select Oracle Autonomous DB.

  4. In Name, specify the name of the connection to the Oracle Autonomous DB.

The name should not contain space or hyphens.

The connection name will be used to store the wallet.

  5. In Description, specify a description of the connection to the Oracle Autonomous DB.
  6. In Wallet, click Image shows the Upload icon. to upload the wallet file for the autonomous database from Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. This is the wallet that you downloaded when connecting to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

A wallet is a password-protected container that stores authentication and signing credentials, including private keys, certificates, and trusted certificates, all of which are used by SSL for strong authentication.

This step assumes that you are connecting to an autonomous database instance that has already been created. For more information, see Connecting to the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

  7. In the DB Username, enter the Oracle Autonomous Database username.
  8. In DB Password, enter the Oracle Autonomous Database password. You must update this password anytime you change your Oracle Autonomous Database password.
  9. In DB Service Name, specify the database service/database instance on that server.

  10. In Object Storage Credentials, select None.

  11. Click Test Connection.

After the connection is successful, the "Connection to [source system name] successful" message is displayed.

  12. Click OK.
