Add Activity Links and Resource Preferences Sections

You can add the Activity Links and Resource Preferences sections so that dispatchers can add links and provide resource preferences to activities. You can add these sections only for the user types who you deem fit and provide Read-Only or Read-Write permissions. The permissions help you control who can update the activity links and resource preferences for an activity.

  1. Click Configuration > User Types.
  2. Click the user type to whom you want to add the Activity Links and Resource Preferences sections.
  3. Open the Screen configuration tab and click Edit/View activity.
  4. Drag the Predefined section to the required section on the Edit/View activity Visual Form Editor.
  5. To add the activity links section, select the Activity Links option. Similarly, to add the resource preferences section, select the Resource Preferences option.
    You can add only these sections and nothing else.
  6. Add the name translations for the required languages.
  7. By default, the visibility is Read-only. To change it to Read-write, click Add new in the Visibility section.
  8. Select Read-write and click Save.
  9. Click Publish on the Edit/View activity Visual Form Editor.
    The selected section is added to the main Activity Details page. If you set a section as Read-Only, users can see the section when resource preferences or activity links are added to the activity. However, they can’t click to open and change the details.
