Add a Time Slot in Oracle Fusion Field Service
A time slot is a fixed time interval with start and end time of an activity.
- In Fusion Setup and Maintenance, go to Navigator > My Enterprise > Offering Setup. Select the Field Service offering. In the Scheduling and Dispatch functional area, select the Time Slots task. The Time Slots page displays all the time slots you've created so far.

Click the plus icon.
The Add Time Slot drawer opens and displays the General Info, Activity Types, and Capacity Categories tabs.

Complete these fields as needed:
- Enabled: Move the slider to enable the time slot. The time slot is disabled by default, you must enable it to assign it to activities and use within capacity management.
- Name: Enter a name for the time slot in the start time – end time format (for example 8-10).
- Label: Enter a unique identifier for the time slot. This identifier is mapped to the REST API.
- All-day time slot: Select the checkbox if you want the time slot to last for the entire day.
- Start Time: Enter the time when the time slot begins.
- End Time: Enter the time when the time slot ends.Note: An overnight time slot is considered for these cases:
- If the value in the End Time field is equal to the value in the Start Time field (for example, 11am -11am).
- If the value in the End Time field is less than the value in the Start Time field (for example, 11am - 9am).
- Activity Types: On the Activity Types tab, search for and select the activity types to associate with the time slot. This means, activities of this type must start and end within the time range specified here. You must select activity types preferably in Enabled status.
- Capacity Categories: On the Capacity Categories tab, search for and select the capacity categories to associate with the time slot. You must select capacity categories preferably in Enabled status.

Click Add.
The time slot is displayed on the Time Slots page.

To edit a time slot, click Edit on the Time
Slots page.
The Edit Time Slots drawer opens, which is similar to the Add Time Slot drawer. Make the changes as required and click Update.
