About This Integration
You can now integrate Knowledge Advanced for B2C Service (OKA) with Oracle Fusion Field Service using Pass-through authentication (PTA).
Knowledge Advanced for B2C Service is a separate Oracle product distinct from Oracle Fusion Field Service. You must have a valid subscription to the Knowledge Advanced for B2C Service to use the integration between the two applications.
A single user account was used to authenticate the Oracle Fusion Field Service - Knowledge Advanced for B2C Service integration previously. OKA reports always showed this single user and thereby, made it difficult to identify the actual users who accessed the Knowledge Advanced for B2C Service service from Oracle Fusion Field Service. Oracle Fusion Field Service offers Pass-Through Authentication (PTA) mechanism in Oracle Fusion Field Service- Knowledge Advanced for B2C Service integration now. With this mechanism, OKA reports display the actual users’ login details.
Pass-through authentication lets you integrate the Oracle B2C Service Customer Portal with an external customer validation source, such as your organization’s website, so your customers can automatically log in to your customer portal from an external web page.
