Add a New Application

You can now add new applications for Oracle BI Cloud Service and Oracle Database as a Service using the Applications configuration page. After creating a new application, you can transfer data in real time to your Oracle BI Cloud Service or Oracle Database as a Service environment. To add an Oracle Fusion Service and Service Logistics application, see Configure Oracle Fusion Service.

To add a new application:
  1. Click Configuration, Applications.
  2. On the Applications page, click Add Application.
The Add Application dialog box opens.
  3. In the Add Application dialog box, select Application Type from the drop-down list.
    • If you select Oracle Integration, the Add Applications dialog box displays the Application Name, Host, User Name, Password and Confirm Password fields.

    • If you select Database as a Service, the Add Applications dialog box displays the Application Name, Host, Port, Connect with SID and Connect with Service Name fields.

  4. Complete the fields and click Add to add the channel.

Results:

The new application is now available on the Applications page. Data transmission to Oracle Integration or Oracle Database as a Service displayed on this page is reset every day (24 hours). The data processing and transmission depends on the volume of data stored. You might expect a delay in transferring big volumes of data. Real-time data transfer of the Activity, Inventory, ActivityLink, Resources, Users, and Route entities starts only from the next day.

Note: When you add, retry, reconfigure, or modify an Oracle Fusion Service and Service Logistics application, Oracle Field Service displays a Confirm Prerequisites dialog box. Before continuing, confirm that you have exposed the Work Order setup and created the SOA Operator job role in Fusion Service. For more information, see Verify Oracle Fusion Service Application Prerequisites.
