Configure Daily Extract Start Time
Earlier, Oracle Field Service calculated the time of daily data extracts automatically based on overnight instance settings. By the end of their day, Mobile Workers don't wait for the completion of data transfer from their mobile devices to the server and switch off their mobile devices. Data remains stored locally and when mobile workers switch on their devices the next day, the server rejects transactions, as Oracle Field Service doesn't allow updating past data.
Oracle Field Service lets you configure the time of previous day data extract now. The configured start time applies to all configured applications. The Applications page displays the Start Time option.

By default, the Automatic checkbox is enabled to provide compatibility with previous versions.
- Note that all the previous day's data will not be included into Daily Extract files when switching from automatic to configured start time. To obtain the previous day's data, you must merge the data for the previous two (2) days in your application.
- Review the Business Rules, Overnight, Start time value selection. Previous day activities processed after Daily Extract run aren't considered.
