Is it possible to allow users choose from multiple subinventories in Oracle Fusion Field Service activities when using the Maintenance Accelerator?
With the Oracle Maintenance Accelerator for Oracle Fusion Field Service, you can map each subinventory (such as different mobile workshops) as a warehouse resource in Oracle Fusion Field Service. When creating a maintenance work order, associate the relevant subinventory. This creates an activity in Oracle Fusion Field Service linked to the mapped warehouse, allowing the technician to view and select the correct subinventory and its inventory directly from the activity’s inventory page.
Here’s how it works:
- Map each subinventory as a warehouse resource, For example, each mobile workshop as a "Truck" type warehouse) in Oracle Field Service.
- In Oracle Maintenance, link the required subinventory to the maintenance work order. This will generate an activity in OFS that references the preferred warehouse (subinventory).
- When the activity is assigned to a technician, they will see the associated subinventory and its stock in the activity inventory page of OFS and can select/install inventory as needed.
- Ensure that items are properly synced to each mapped warehouse/subinventory so inventory availability is correctly reflected.
