How do I create an Attachment Property to use with Fusion Attachments?
You can create an Attachment property to use with Fusion Attachments when you want multiple images to be uploaded for an activity. The best practice is to use the Attachment option with an Oracle Fusion application such as Oracle Maintenance. In Oracle Fusion applications, an attachment is a document or an image that's uploaded to an object storage. The object storage is configured for a specific business object when you set up the Oracle Fusion application.
Prerequisites to enable attachment creation between Fusion and Oracle Fusion Field Service:
- The integration between Fusion Service and Service Logistics in Oracle Fusion Field Service must be configured.
- If work orders are not synced between Fusion and Oracle Fusion Field Service, attachments will not be created on the Fusion side.
To perform the required configuration, you’ll need access to:
- Oracle Fusion Field Service
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Identity/IDCS for the tenancy associated with your Fusion Applications
- Navigate to Oracle Fusion Field Service > Configuration > Applications > Add application.
- Select the appropriate options.
- Download the OFS certificate
To configure the application in OCI Identity domain
- Go to
- Copy the domain URL. You'll need it when configuring Field Service.
- From your domain, navigate to Integrated Applications.
- Click Add Application and fill in the required details.
- Add scope: Search for Oracle Applications Cloud (Fusion).
-
If you can’t find it, verify that you're using the correct OCI tenancy.
-
Copy the highlighted scope value for use in Oracle Fusion Field Service later.
-
After creating the Confidential Application, activate it and copy the Client ID and Client Secret.
