Specify a Business Unit

Specify the business unit in Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials that contains the joint venture financials.

Before you select a business unit, you must make sure that the business unit is set up properly.

  • The business unit must have been set up with the Receiving business function enabled. This setup is required for the system to create invoices for the joint venture. See Business Functions for more information.

  • The customer payments and payables payment service providers must be activated for the business unit. See Shared Service Centers for more information.

If Data Security for Joint Venture Management is enabled, only the business units that the user has access to can be specified for the joint venture.

  1. On Basic properties, click the Business Unit drop-down list and select a business unit for the joint venture.

  2. Click Save.

    When you select a business unit and click save, the application automatically identifies the chart of accounts in the primary ledger for the business unit. This enables you to identify specific accounts for distribution as described in the Identify Accounts for Joint Venture Processing topic.
