Create Distributions from Joint Venture Transactions

Schedule or manually run the Create Joint Venture Distributions process to create distributions from transactions identified for distribution by Oracle Joint Venture Management. Only joint venture transactions with an Available to Process status are recognized by this process.

Note: For transactions associated with the primary ledger of the joint venture, the process creates distributions in the "Available to Process" status. For transactions associated with the other ledgers, it creates distributions in the "Process Complete" status.
  1. From the Home page, select Joint Venture Management, and then from the Quick Actions list, select Create Joint Venture Distributions.
  2. On Process Details, determine when you want to run the process:
    • As soon as possible. This is the default.

    • On a schedule. Click Advanced to set up a schedule for running the process. This displays the Advanced Options, where you can create a schedule and set up a notification so you or another user are notified about the process.

  3. In the Basic Options Parameters section, complete the following fields:
    • Processing Mode. Make sure that the corresponding Create Joint Venture Distributions default mode is selected.

    • Joint Venture. Select a particular joint venture or leave this field blank if you want the process to process all joint ventures. Only joint ventures in an Active status will be processed.

      If data security is enabled, this drop-down list displays only the joint ventures associated with the business units you are authorized to manage.

    • Ledger. Enter a ledger in which the transactions to be processed by Joint Venture Management were originally recorded. If you leave this blank, the primary ledger associated with the business unit associated with the joint venture will be used.

    • Period. Enter the period in which the transactions to be processed by Joint Venture Management were originally recorded. If you leave this blank, the latest open period for the ledger will be used.

  4. For the Distribution Type, select Distributions.

    The other options are applicable only to creating distributions based on a carried interest agreement. See Create Carried Interest Distributions .

  5. Click Submit.
  6. Back on the Scheduled Processes Overview page, you can view a list of submitted processes and their statuses. Click a process in the table to view additional details about the process.
