FA_RATES stores the annual depreciation rates used by the depreciation program to calculate depreciation for your assets that use life-based depreciation methods. . When you create a depreciation method using the Life-Based Depreciation Methods form, Oracle Assets inserts a row into this table for each depreciation rate you define for a year of life and prorate period (PERIOD_PLACED_IN_SERVICE).
