How can I use social networking to discuss external transactions with the general accounting manager?

Use the Social link on the View External Transaction page to invite others to a conversation to discuss external transactions.

You are a cash manager reviewing the external cash transactions created from bank interest and charges. Before accounting for these transactions and posting them to the general ledger, you must inform the general accounting manager that the journal entries are being created.

From the Manage External Transaction page, search for the transaction you want to discuss, in the search results, click on the transaction number to review in the conversation:

1. Click Social to open Oracle Social Network.

2. Click the Share button.

3. Create a new conversation.

4. Invite the general accounting manager to join the conversation.

The general accounting manager reviews and confirms the created journals from the external transactions can be posted to the general ledger.

After reviewing the transactions with general accounting manager, the cash manager can account for the transactions and post them to the general ledger.

Depending on your job role and permissions, you can access social networking features for the following Oracle Fusion Cash Management activities:
