Synchronize Transaction Workflow Status
You can use the Synchronize Transaction Workflow Status process to manage stuck transactions for Invoice Approval or Journal Approval workflows.
Submitting this ESS job generates a spreadsheet report with transactions from the selected workflow and their status. When a transaction doesn’t complete successfully (or is stuck), it continues to remain in Initiated status.
How You Deal with Stuck Transactions
Here’s how you use this report for incomplete transactions.
- Go to Synchronize Transaction Workflow Status. and select
- Select the workflow for which you want to view the report.
- Select View Transaction Workflow Status and download the spreadsheet.
- In the User Action column, select the action you want to perform.
- Submit the process again while selecting the same workflow and selecting Synchronize Transaction Workflow Status with File Upload.
- Upload the spreadsheet with the saved user action and click Submit.
Note: For Invoice Approval workflow, you can also select the supplier name. This will
list only the transaction related to the selected supplier.

You can also leave the User Action as blank. In this case, the application takes no action and there's no change in the status.
Note: To enable the Force Approve action, create the
FUN_ENABLE_FORCEAPPROVE_FROM_STUCK_TRANS_ESSJOB
profile option and set it to True.
