Guidelines for Integrating Revenue Management with Subscription Management

You can automate your entire revenue recognition process by integrating Oracle Revenue Management withOracle Subscription Management.

Using this integration you can:

  • Automatically import subscription lines for subscriptions and usage-products.

  • Automatically import subscription changes as revisions from Subscription Management, which Revenue Management treats as contract revisions in Revenue Management.

  • Automatically import various revenue events from Subscription Management throughout the life cycle of the contract.

  • Import subscription billing from Receivables to Revenue Management to clear contract asset balances.

To configure your integration with Subscription Management, follow the steps in the Oracle CX Implementing Oracle Subscription Management guide. Note that the Extraction Start Date isn't required for the Oracle Subscription Management source document type and will be disabled.

After you complete your configuration:

  1. Run the Send Subscription Revenue Information to Oracle Revenue Management Cloud process from Subscription Management.

  2. In Revenue Management, run the Validate Customer Contract Source Data process and Identify Customer Contracts process.
