Revenue Write-Off Account

Use the Revenue Write-Off account to address small differences that arise on contract accounts due to long-term accounting, division, and rounding.

Oracle Revenue Management accommodates prospective accounting issues in business cases that are immaterial, resulting in additional small differences.

To write off these types of balances, you must set up the Revenue Write-Off account in the Manage System Options for Revenue Management page. Revenue Management posts these types of balances to the Revenue Write-Off account.

You can then set up this account as a revenue account on the Profit and Loss statement. You can also attribute it so that it's distinct from, included in, or related to regular revenue accounts.
